Building physical, cognitive, and self-regulation skills with karate

Martial arts training has numerous benefits for its students. Kids who participate in the martial arts gain physical, cognitive and self-regulation skills, build character and learn values. These can be applied in school, home, relationships and life.

The mind and body are conditioned together when we practice martial arts. The two are intricately connected and each one affects the other. When I combine my experience and knowledge of karate and occupational therapy, kids can benefit in unique ways in the following areas:
